Email Configuration:
There are lots of different email clients you can
use, but we recommend either Eudora or Microsoft's Outlook Express. How
to configure Outlook Express for Internet Mail 1.
Open Outlook express, click on the Tools menu and select Accounts option. 2.
In the Internet Accounts dialog box, click Add, and then click Mail. 3.
In the Display name box, type the name you want others to see when you send out
a message, then click the Next button. 4. In the E-mail
address box, type the e-mail address for the account you are using (your POP3
box), e.g. sales@yourdomain.co.uk then click Next button. 5.
Under e-mail server names, select the mail server type, you should select POP3
which is the default setting. Next type in your incoming mail server, which will
be mail.yourdomain.co.uk As for your outgoing mail server this will be the mail
server of the ISP you are using for your internet connection. 6.
Next type in your full POP account name and password in the POP account name and
Password boxes. 7. In the Internet mail account box, type
a name to identify the mail account you are configuring. This is often known as
the 'friendly' name for the account. 8. Click on the type
of connection you are using to connect to the Internet. Note this step does not
apply in Outlook Express 5 If you select 'Use my phone line to connect', you are
prompted to either create a new dial-up networking connection or use an existing
one. If you already have an existing dial-up connection, click the name of your
dial up network connection in the list, and then click next. 9.
Click Finish. You have now configured your email software ready for use. |
